Zhenis Kasymbek set tasks for the development of Temirtau

The action plan for the near future was discussed in Temirtau. The head of the region Zhenis Kasymbek set specific tasks for the city's leadership to improve the lives of residents.

Akim of the region focused on the most painful issues for the residents of Temirtau: improving the environment, increasing the volume of housing construction, stable heating, updating public transport, elevator facilities, and infrastructure development.

- Work is underway, but there is still a set of unresolved issues. The city's economy is based on industry. In the manufacturing sector, production volumes have been reduced. The main reason is the decrease in production of flat rolled products at ArcelorMittal Temirtau. This indicates a strong dependence of the city on the indicators of the backbone enterprise. The plant sneezes, the whole city sneezes, - said Zhenis Kasymbek.

Many complaints were caused by the attitude of local authorities to business development.

In Temirtau over the past year, the number of employees in SMEs has decreased by 1,500 people. The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the city's economy is 22.4%.
