A new industrial zone was formed in Karaganda region

The industrial site of the former RTI plant in Saran became a new industrial zone. This was reported by the governor of Karaganda region, Zhenis Kasymbek, at an extraordinary, third session of the regional maslikhat, held online.

- Just a few days ago, with the support of the country's leadership, a new industrial zone was created on the territory of the former RTI plant in Saran. This opens up great prospects. We expect a new inflow of investments. The second stage of the bus factory is scheduled to be completed in May. The Kazakhstan content will be more than 30%. This is the first major project aimed at diversifying the economy of Saran. A tire plant will be built in partnership with the Russian company Tatneft, - Zhenis Kasymbek said.

The head of the region spoke about plans to revive the housing sector in this area. There are intentions to restore abandoned houses.

The deputies approved adjustments to the current General Plan of the city of Saran.
