Chemical industry production in Kazakhstan increased by 18%
In the first eight months of 2018, the production of chemical products in Kazakhstan amounted to KZT 248.3 billion ($ 683 million), which is 18.4% more than in January-August 2017. On October 1, the analytical portal EnergyProm reports, citing the statistics committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic.
Among the regions of Kazakhstan, the largest production volume accounts for the Dzhambul (Zhambyl) region - 79 billion tenge ($ 217 million) or 31.8% of the total production. In the Aktobe region, the figure was 36.5 billion tenge ($ 100 million), and in the Karaganda region - 32.2 billion tenge ($ 89 million).
As REGNUM news agency reported, in the first half of 2018, the industrial production index of Kazakhstan was 105.2% compared to the first half of 2017.
